All in a day work.

Another day at my father office. Today while I was calculating the material needed for some project, my father said me to go to some place to deliver some screw to one of his project's site. So I followed him to somewhere near "Tok Bali" lo. The project is a government's chemical lab and my father's worker are there assembly the roof truss.

On the way, we drove across this bridge that is so damn narrow. Only 1 vehicle can pass at a time.

After 30 minutes of driving, we final arrive at the site. There was only 6 worker there. 1 handling the crane, 1 driving forklift, 3 on the roof's beam and 1 assemble those screws that we brought there. So there I was busy with taking picture while the worker assemble the beams into place.

This is a picture of the beam after combine together but haven't drag and install onto the roof.
This is a picture of the screws and nuts come to use :)
These screws are 1 & half inch thick.

This is a picture of a forklift lifting a purlin up. You might ask why they install a purlin onto the beam when it is still not yet complete? The reason is to keep those 2 beams in place, cause you can see the weather is a total mess (windy & cloudy) and it is just 1.30p.m.
When 2 purlins are installed in place, the wind won't affect the position of the beam so much. Surely when u saw this picture below, you will start to wonder how are they going to go down?
See this worker walk like nothing on so high up also make me scare =.= How am I going to be an engineer i ask myself :(

See this worker just "Slide" down easily.

Hard to make out the next picture right? It is a picture of a worker getting down by the help of forklift =.= This is the 1st time I saw people use forklift for that purpose. LOL

Woot a crane.

After installing those 2 purlins, the workers are off to their lunch, so do father and me ^^
We drove back and go to a Malay restaurant near our factory to dig in. We have a kind of food called "Nasi Sumatera". The table is filled with food and you can choose what you like to eat, but take in mind that you only can use the spoon they provide in the dishes for hygiene purpose. Two things that I like most is the curry Beef and fried chicken. Oh my gosh they tastes good but are expansive, two person eat cost about Rm23. Zzzz...for my opinion it is not worth it but what the heck? The shop near our factory, the food taste good, & the service is good :)

Singapore Trip

Hello, I'm back from Singapore Trip with an interesting story.

At 16 Oct 2008 around 8 p.m., I board the train to Singapore. I'm happy that I have the bottom row of the sleeping area. Due to bottom slot have larger space compare to upper. The ticket said that I will arrive at 10 a.m. but as always KTM will delay. For my case, the train reach Singapore at 12.30 which means it delayed for 2 hours. Lucky inside train, I have my Ipod and PSP accompany me. As for my breakfast, I had some biscuits. For those that never seen inside of a KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu), here are some picture.

As soon as i reach Singapore's train station, I saw my grandmother, grandmother's mother and also my grandmother's brother waiting for me. After i greet them, They bring me to "Ku-kong" (uncle Hwa) apartment to take a bath. After bath they bring me to Sushi Tei at Paragon. I had my best sushi at Sushi Tei (for now). After that I separate with them and wait for my friend outside of Paragon. My friends said that they will come to meet me after 6, therefore I just walk around Orchard Road and window-shopping at Takashimaya, Paragon, and others shopping complex around Orchard Road. After we meet up, we shop around Orchard Road and watch "Max Payne" at midnight. Here are some picture I took while I spend my time with my friends.

Me and Ho Seak stayed at Pei Yang's house. We spent the night playing games, watch TV, drink alcohol, play cards and more. We spent whole Saturday at Bugis Street and Monday afternoon at Queenway. Oh ya, nearly forget to mention the weather at Singapore was cloudy and rain from time to time. We are walking/running in the rain to bus station to call a cab, there was a kind mother and her son approaching us from behind. She insisting on lending us her umbrella and then she share another umbrella with her son. Luckily we got our cab afterword and returned her the umbrella. Wow what a nice person right?

Around 5 p.m., my friends accompany me to Singapore's Train station and there I meet up with my grandmother and we board the train back to Kota Bharu.

Conclusion: The trip to Singapore was Fun and Amazing, and if give me another chance I will go there again but hopefully next time the train does not delayed so much.
